Aemet activates storm warnings in the Canary Islands

The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has activated the yellow warning for storms in the Canary Islands. Specifically, the risk will affect the islands of Tenerife, La Gomera and Gran Canaria.

The warning is in effect from 09:00 this Wednesday until 17:59 in the case of Gran Canaria, and until 23:59 in the case of the two western islands.

Very strong gusts will be associated, especially on the northern and western slopes, with the possibility of heavy showers on the peaks of Tenerife.
