AEMET extends the yellow warning for rain in Tenerife The rainfall could be accompanied by occasional heavy showers and storms

The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has extended the yellow warning for rain to the entire island of Tenerife, joining the rest of the western islands that were already under this situation.

The warning, which will be active from 00:00 to 08:59 on Tuesday, November 19, predicts accumulated rainfall of up to 20 mm in one hour in several areas of the islands, with greater incidence on the southern and western slopes.

In Tenerife, the warning affects both the peaks and the metropolitan areas, north, east, south and west of the island. According to AEMET, the rainfall could be accompanied by occasional heavy showers and storms, especially in the midlands and peaks of the south and west. In addition, the rain could intensify at dawn due to intervals of very strong southwesterly wind in high areas.
