Rain in Tenerife: access to homes cut off, a car buried and three educational centres with damage

The rainfall has caused several rock falls, which has affected access to the homes in the most affected area. The intense rains that have affected several points on the island of Tenerife on Friday morning have generated significant rock falls that block a track in the Anaga district in the municipality of Santa Cruz, and caused damage to three educational centres in La Laguna. Personnel from the Natural Environment Unit (UMEN) of the capital city council are working on the El Draguillo-Benijo track, after the landslides caused by these gusts of rain since dawn. The rainfall has also affected the homes in the area that have been left inaccessible for the moment, where a vehicle has been practically buried by the rocks.
