Three Kings Parade in Tenerife: schedules and routes

The most magical night is coming and the municipalities are preparing to receive their majesties

The most magical night of the year is coming and the municipalities of Tenerife are preparing to receive their majesties the Three Wise Men from the East.

These will be the schedules and routes of all the parades planned for this January 5, the eve of Three Kings' Day, on the Island.

LA LAGUNA

The Three Wise Men will arrive in La Laguna at 12:00 noon, leaving in a parade with their royal courts from the Plaza del Adelantado to the Torre de la Concepción, where the mayor and the municipal corporation will give them the keys to the city. During the journey letters will be collected and there will also be children's activities in the Plaza del Adelantado and in the area of ​​La Concepción.

The procession will leave at 6:00 p.m. from Plaza del Cristo to travel along the streets of Agua, Nava and Grimón, Consistorio, Herradores, Plaza de La Concepción and Calle La Carrera to return along Calle Nava and Grimón to Plaza del Cristo. There will be a noise-free area at the beginning of the parade and a restricted area for people with reduced mobility in Plaza del Adelantado.

After the parade, at around 9:30 p.m., the Auto Sacramental de los Reyes Magos will be staged in the Plaza de la Iglesia de San Bartolomé de Tejina, declared a Site of Cultural Interest.

SANTA CRUZ

The Heliodoro Rodríguez López will receive their majesties from 5:00 p.m. on board the royal helicopter and it will be broadcast live on Channel 4 Television.

At 7:00 p.m. the procession will begin and will run from Avenida de Bélgica towards Plaza de la República Dominicana, Avenida Asuncionistas, Ramón y Cajal, Galcerán and Plaza de Weyler, to continue along the streets Méndez Núñez, El Pilar, Villalba Hervás and La Marina until ending in Plaza La Candelaria, where their majesties will perform the traditional act of adoration of the Child Jesus in the Nativity scene installed there.

The cameras of Televisión Canaria will broadcast the procession live for the entire Archipelago.

TEGUESTE

The procession will start at 7:00 p.m. from Casino Street, continuing to Plaza San Marcos, where the traditional Auto Sacramental will be held.

TACORONTE

The procession of Melchor, Gaspar and Baltasar will start from the area around the Municipal Library at 7:00 p.m. and will travel along the TF-152 island road to Plaza de La Estación. Upon arrival at the square located at the top of the Tourist Office, the representation of the sacramental auto of the Three Wise Men will begin and the subsequent delivery of letters.

The magical route will be dramatized thanks to the participation of historical figures, such as King Herod, Saint Joseph, the Virgin Mary and her shepherds.

EL SAUZAL

At 7:00 p.m., the Great Magical Procession of the Three Wise Men from the El Calvario neighborhood to Plaza del Príncipe.

Two solidarity sections will be enabled, one noise-free in Ronda Sauzalito (first section between Avenida Presidente Paulino Rivero Baute and Avenida Las Palmeras) for people with functional diversity and/or people who suffer from TEA, and another reserved for reduced mobility on Avenida Inmaculada Concepción (C.A.D.F. sidewalk).

LA VICTORIA

At 7:00 p.m., Grand Parade of Their Majesties the Three Wise Men from the East along Calle Salazar ending at El Pinar Park, where the official reception and hot chocolate will be held for everyone.

SANTA ÚRSULA

At 7:00 p.m., Grand Parade of the Three Wise Men along the usual route, starting from the Argelio Tabares Football Field and welcomed by Their Majesties outside the Town Hall.

PUERTO DE LA CRUZ

Special reception for the Three Wise Men from the East at San Felipe Castle at 7:00 p.m. Half an hour later, at 7:30 p.m., the Grand Parade will begin, a colourful and joyful route through the streets of the municipality (Luis Lavaggi, Blas Pérez González, José María del Campo Llarena, San Felipe, Plaza del Charco, La Marina, Santo Domingo and Calle Quintana).

LOS REALEJOS

At 6:30 p.m. it will leave from Reyes Católicos Street to Avenida de los Remedios in Realejo Alto, towards San Agustín, Realejo Bajo, Barroso and Tigaiga where the traditional adoration of the baby Jesus will take place in his Hermitage.

LA OROTAVA

The arrival of the Three Wise Men in La Orotava is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. at Plaza de San Juan. They will previously parade through the streets: Avda. Obispo Benítez de Lugo, Avda. de Canarias, Calvario, Puente Escultor Estévez, Carrera, San Francisco, Salazar, Pescote, Dtor. González García, La Candelaria, Domingo Hernández, Goya, Zurbarán, La Cancela, Pescote, Dtor. González. García, Plaza la Piedad, Rómulo Bethencourt and Plaza de San Juan.

The parade will start at 8:00 p.m. on Avenida Mercedes Pinto and will continue along Avenida Canarias, Calle Calvario, the Puente and Carrera Escultor Estévez to the Plaza del Ayuntamiento where the staging of the Nativity and Adoration of the Child will take place in a Living Nativity Scene.

LA GUANCHA

Grand Three Kings Parade at 7:00 p.m. from the intersection of El Castillo and Dr. Fleming streets, followed by the route along Hipólito Sinforiano and Alhóndiga avenues to the church square.

SAN JUAN DE LA RAMBLA

At 6:00 p.m. the traditional procession in San José begins, leaving from the La Estrella Contenta play centre, travelling along the main road of San José until reaching the Town Hall. It will continue through the commercial area to El Santo street.

In San Juan (town centre), the procession is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. along the usual route from La Cabaña and towards the square, travelling along the main streets of the town centre.

ICOD DE LOS VINOS

7:30 p.m. from La Centinela to Plaza Luis de León Huerta, Grand Procession of the Three Wise Men from the East accompanied by their court of honour. Upon arrival, reception by the Mayor, followed by reading of the manifesto and delivery of letters.

GARACHICO

At 6.30pm, the traditional Three Kings Parade will depart from the Las Cruces neighbourhood of the town of Garachico, while the La Caleta de Interián Parade will depart at 8.30pm from the football field.

LOS SILOS

The Three Wise Men will arrive by helicopter at 5.30 pm to leave from the Aregume Sports Centre at 8.30 pm in the Cavalcade that will go through the main streets of the town.

BUENAVISTA

From 7 pm, there will be a grand Cavalcade of the Three Wise Men from Calle La Alhóndiga to the Church of Los Remedios where they will deliver the offerings and collect the last letters on the central stage.

EL ROSARIO

The Grand Cavalcade of La Esperanza will leave at 4 pm from Calle Maximino Bacallado Rodríguez to go through Calle La Sardinera and finish in front of the Town Hall building.

CANDELARIA

In the Plaza de la Patrona de Canarias, a wide range of activities and shows are expected that will culminate with the long-awaited arrival of the Three Wise Men at 8.15 pm.

ARAFO

At 5:00 p.m., the Three Wise Men will be welcomed at the Blas Reyes Football Field with free entry until full capacity is reached. At 7:00 p.m. the procession will set off along Avenida Reyes De España.

GÜÍMAR

At 4:00 p.m. Their Majesties will be received at the Tasagaya field.

FASNIA

From 4:00 p.m., delivery of letters and a parade that will leave from Los Roques to travel along the streets of Lomo La Tose, La Zarza, La Sabina Alta, La Sombrera, Cruz del Roque, Las Eras, the path of stones and the town of Fasnia until reaching the Plaza de la Iglesia.

ARICO

The municipality will host the Grand Parade that will leave at 6:00 p.m. from the hermitage of El Calvario to Benítez de Lugo street.

GRANADILLA

From 5:00 p.m., arrival of Their Majesties the Three Wise Men from the East. Then, the Grand Parade in the streets of the town of Granadilla to the Sports Pavilion of Los Hinojeros, where the last letters can be delivered.

From 5.30pm, the Three Wise Men will set off in their royal carriages on the Grand Parade through the main streets of the town. This year, there will once again be sweets suitable for diabetic children, an area for people with reduced mobility (PRM) in the Los Hinojeros municipal pavilion, the inclusiveness train that accompanies the Parade, and a noise-free space adapted for people with disabilities in a more visible area on the main street.

For the first time, the Parade train will carry people with disabilities so that they can enjoy the journey, and sweets suitable for diabetic children will be distributed in the pavilion.

SAN MIGUEL

The event is scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m. from the Plaza de la Iglesia through the streets of the town. The route will end at the “Óscar González” municipal sports centre, where the Three Wise Men will collect letters from all the children in the town.

VILAFLOR

At 6:30 p.m. Melchor, Gaspar and Baltasar will be received at the 25 de Abril Culture and Recreation Centre.

ARONA

At 8:00 p.m., Their Majesties the Three Wise Men from the East are scheduled to arrive at the Muelle Viejo de Los Cristianos and will then begin their journey along Av. Espigón Benchijigua, Av. Suecia, Calle Barranquillo (in the section that runs between Avenida de Suecia and Avenida Los Playeros) continuing along Av. Los Playeros to Av. Amsterdam and arriving at Plaza del Pescador, outside the Los Cristianos Cultural Centre.

ADEJE

At 17.30 the Three Wise Men will be received at the football field and at 19.00 hours, the Grand Parade from Calle Grande to Plaza de España.

ISORA GUIDE

At 18.00 hours, Their Majesties the Three Wise Men from the East will be received in Plaza de Chío so that children can deliver their letters. The Parade will leave at 19.00 hours from Calle del Campo to Plaza Nuestra Señora de La Luz. Upon arrival, there will be a drone show and a stellar performance by Mario Falero, a participant in La Voz Kids.

SANTIAGO DEL TEIDE

Their Majesties will visit the Arguayo Cultural Centre at 16.00 hours and the Tamaimo Social Centre at 17.00 hours. The Grand Parade of the Three Wise Men will pass through various towns from 6:00 p.m.: Playa de la Arena, Puerto de Santiago and will end in Plaza Buganvilla de Los Gigantes, where there will be a grand welcome for the Three Wise Men.
